Hands & Heart
The stories of the artists, shapers, and visionaries pouring their spirit into every board.
Gordon Merchant
"You don't just shape a board for a wave; you shape it for the person who will ride it."
For over 40 years, Gordon has been listening to the ocean and the riders who call it home. His process is one of subtraction—finding the perfect form hidden within the foam, waiting to be revealed.
In the Curly Koa project, Gordon provides the canvas: hand-shaped guns designed for the North Shore winter, left pure white and ready for a new kind of story.
Sophia
Sophia's work bridges the gap between tradititonal landscapes and modern street art. She sees the board not as a surface, but as a vessel.
"The resin seals the moment. It makes the ephemeral permanent."
Using a palette derived from the land itself—red earth, charcoal, and ocean blues—she paints faces that look back at you with the weight of generations.
